Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is a special day. Today, is the day that God chose to bring a very special woman into this world...my mom. I can't say enough about this woman. She's my world. I love her more than my words can ever express. She has set before me the example of what a strong and perserverant woman is. Whenever things get a little rough for me as a mom and wife, I look back at my childhood and remember the way my mom handled those situations and her actions then, inspire and motivate me today. She is such a giving, unselfish, strong, and very funny person. I just pray to God to allow and bless me with all her positive attributes so that I can be as wonderful a Mother and Grandmother(when my time comes), the way she is. She's just awesome! She Rocks! I love you Mami! Happy Birthday!

Lets try this again...

I have attempted to post on 3 different occasions since my last post (fathers day, and 2 times after that) and can you believe that as I anxiously awaited for my pics to upload...it kept giving me an error message after an eternity of waiting! Since I'm always in a rush, I never had the time to try again. Plus, a retyped post is never as funny as the original. All your thoughts and passion go into the original and there's just not enough enthusiasm left. So, I shall try this again!

Well, soo much has happened since my last post. Here's a run down...
Sold our van (2006 Honda Odyssey...boo hoo)
Bought a car (2007 Honda Civic...woo hoo!)
Fathers day
God Rocks Concert
My baby boy is 95% potty trained

May not sound like much but hey...that's a lot for me! Lets start off with the Vehicle Situation. We purchased a van about 2 years ago hoping to fill it to the rim with children (I'm exaggerating...just 4 tops). Well, while we still would like to have more children, its not in the immediate future so we decided to revisit the car situation because gas was kinda killing us. My hubby drives the van to work every day and it's about an hour commute coming and going. We only needed space for 4 so...we decided on the civic. We use to have a civic before until someone decided to permanently borrow it without our permission (they stole it okay...they stole it!) which left us with just the van. So yes...that's that. We love the Civic. Gas is much better which makes us very happy! However, I get a little sad every time I see a van...she was good to us, but she had to go! lol!

Fathers Day. We had a great time. Went to church. Bonded with the Father in-law, then bonded with my dad. The dads were happy...and that's all that counts right? I attempted to blog a super cute post on my daddy and hubby however, technical difficulties occurred (lets not go there).

God Rocks Concert My sister in law invited us to her church where they were having a vacation bible school event combined with a concert. God Rocks is a dynamic children's ministry that truly is awesome. My kids found out about them a year ago and totally love them! Shoot, I love them! Anyway, I was able to take my nieces along with us this time and they had a great time! Can't wait til they come back again!

Mr. Caleb. My baby is pretty much potty trained, and I'm so proud. I've been trying with him for a while however, it wasn't quite getting thru. He just wouldn't go on his own. I finally decided to set my alarm on the phone every 2 hours to make him go potty. Well, after many messes and accidents later...he's got it! He's going on his own now. We're now working on 2 things, Poo-poo, and staying dry overnight. Our goal was to have him set before he turns 3 so we are ahead of schedule. Woo hoo! Well, this is it for now. Til next time.

Will post more pics of GodRocks concert soon. God Bless you all!

Happy Birthday Babe!

Well, yesterday was my Darling husband's birthday. I didn't have a chance to post this blog because...we were out celebrating so today is the day for this. I just wanted to take a moment and share with you all a little about this special blessing in my life. Mr. Irving is one of the most sweetest, patient, kindest, funniest, silliest, dedicated, honest, friendliest, motivating, optimistic, and everything else that's positive-ist, person I know! I love this man with all of my heart. I'm blessed to be called his wife as our children are to be called his children. Words cannot express how special he is. If he could, he would give us the world. If I could, I would give him the world but since I can't, I'll just share with the world how special he truly is...and he's all mine! Woohoo!

GOD BLESS YOU AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!

So much to say...

What an exciting weekend and past couple of days! Lots of exciting stuff happening in the Bonilla residence. Well, it all started on the weekend. Irv (my Hubby) and I had purchased a play yard for the kids about 3 months ago (yeah...I know, took us a while). We had been wanting to get one since Alyssa turned 2 or so but, the money was never there. Well, back in march we got a heck of a deal thru Toys r us and we made a sacrifice considering Alyssa will be five soon and Caleb 3. If we wait too long...they'll have no need for the darn thing. Okay, so we knew it was going to be an all day and possibly days thing so we needed to plan accordingly. The past couple of months have been packed with things on the weekend so...this one was perfect. Babe (my hubby, hee-hee) started working on it early saturday morning. He actually started preparing the back yard early last week but started assembling saturday. His parents came to help us out later in the evening. They worked til about 9:oo p.m. They picked up again Monday morning. Finished assembly around 1:00. Then, Irving and I kept working on the "decor" part if you want to call it that. We bought mulch, sand, sod, and soil for the finishing touches. Our backyard is really not that big, but Irving wanted to give Alyssa a garden area so that's just what he did. He did most of the work...and I'm so proud of him! He's an awesome dad, but that's a totally different post! Anyway, the kids absolutely love it back there. They are there first thing in the morning and evening, and every chance they get. Irv is loving it to! He's been out there everyday with them. They're so happy which makes me...very happy!

Stay tuned for a special post on a special person in my life!

Woohoo!

Two days in a row! Impressive or what? Well, I've had a somewhat interesting day today. Some would say stressful however, don't like to use the blog world to depress or unmotivate anyone so...we'll leave it at interesting! I've been working on SDUI's main june kit and I'm 99% done. I had done the layouts however, the tricky part for me are picking my photos! That's what makes a page for me! I take forever to pick the pictures I want to use because, well, I take a zillion photos. It's like trying to pick your favorite family member. You like them all (ok...a bit of a stretch but whatever)! Anyway, I chose to do the kit on my nieces. I have 4 beautiful little and not so little-young girls that I'm blessed to call my nieces. They are beautiful and very special to me, which is why I chose to make them my highlight this month. I'm hoping to be totally done with the layouts by tomorrow so check out span >www.shopsdui.blogspot.com soon to view the june kit and my idea layouts. Its late but my night is far from over so, I should say good bye but, not without showing off my cutie patootie girls first!

Good night and God Bless!

It's been a while...

but here I am! I wish I could find the time to blog more but, there are other priorities in my life. Someday! Well, lots has happened since the last time I posted. We went on a wonderful camping trip with my family. I had a great time. The weather was perfect. Not too hot and the nights were cool (especially the second night). We also shared in a family birthday party and a church picnic. Tons of fun which came along with tons of pictures! I'm so inlove with my camera. I've never talked about my camera since I started the blog however, it's my third child! I Carry her every where I go! Never leave her in the car and even if I'm going out and know I'm not going to use her...I still take her with me (I admit, I fear someone will break in and take it!), plus, what good parent leaves their child home alone? And just like you take extra pampers with you when you have a small child, I always have an extra fully charged battery pack in case of an emergency! Yup, I know. I have issues but hey, I'm an aspiring photographer who loves the art! Oh, for those of you who want to know, she is a Canon Rebel XTi...and her name is (ha! Just kidding). Actually, I am going to name her and I will blog on the reveal of her name...cool? Anyway, I must go now. Just wanted to let everyone know I was still alive! Be blessed! Here are some pics...
